Stroud family {sioux falls family photography}

I can’t believe it’s already February… so much for my “I’ll do it in January” to-do list!  Looking back at this session from last fall makes me SO anxious for spring, gorgeous colors and warm light!  The Stroud family came to Sioux Falls from Salem for a morning of fun at the Japanese Gardens, and these kids couldn’t have been any better!  Liz did a FABULOUS job coordinating outfits for the entire family, which can be a challenge with 4 kids!

Avery {sioux falls baby and family photography}

I am always honored when I am asked to photograph for a repeat client!  I photographed Avery’s big brother Bennett 16 months ago, and was blessed to have the opportunity to photograph her and her siblings last week.  Bennett was a chubby 9 lb baby at birth, and quite unexpectedly Avery was only 5 lb 15 oz!  She was a tiny little thing, but a joy to photograph!  We ended the session with the siblings, and I have to admit that I get a little nervous when siblings are under 2 years old, because they just don’t usually cooperate as well as we would like.  Bennett (and the rest of the crew) were troopers, and we got what we needed with VERY little troubles!

Kadyn {sioux falls baby photographer}

This little girl is such a sweetie… I adore baby chub, and her thighs were perfection!  She wasn’t too happy at the beginning of her session, but once her mom pulled out the yogurt bites she was all smiles (as long as she kept them coming)!  Cake smashes are always a fabulous way to end a one year session… messy, but FUN!  We got a lot of laughs out of Kadyn’s reaction to sugar and frosting – she loved it!

Hudson {sioux falls child photographer}

Hudson is a recent graduate of our first year plan at the studio, and I am sure going to miss his smiles every couple of months!  His one year session was so much fun, and his dad brought back the drum we used at his newborn session – what a fun comparison to see how much he has grown!  Hudson LOVED playing on the drums and eating his cake, and was not a fan of having either taken away!

Hope {sioux falls baby photography}

Prepare yourself for picture overload!  Hope was absolutely perfect for her session – I don’t think she made a peep the entire time she was at the studio.  We got through soooo many set-ups, including a couple of special ones requested by her family.  Hope’s grandfather passed away from pancreatic cancer just a little over a month before she was born, and her mom brought in a special teddy bear and necklace to represent pancreatic cancer research.  Purple is an important color in the fight against cancer, so we made sure to use lots of it!
