Baby Cooper {sneak peek}

I am a little afraid that I may be getting baby fever… YIKES!  This little guy was such a joy to photograph – I finally got a newborn that slept for most of the session!  But never fear, I did get a couple screaming shots!  A session wouldn’t be complete without me making a baby cry! :)  This was my first “on location” newborn session, and it was so neat to photograph him in his home, his room, and around things that were meaningful to his family.  Enjoy some of my favorite pictures…

My family {sneak peek}

Well, we did our family pictures for Christmas cards last week (yes, it is Christmas card time already!!).  Let me just tell you that my husband is probably the least enthusiastic person EVER.  And it probably didn’t help that the kids were cranky, it was cold, and it took me literally 10 minutes to figure out the timer on my new(ish) camera.  He waited in the car.  Noah was NOT into being photographed, and simply wanted to help me and carry the tripod all over creation, which was actually adorable, but slightly annoying when I just wanted him to go sit with daddy… you know how it is with toddlers!  All in all I think it was a success, and it’s going to have to work because I don’t think that I am going to get Mike to do it again anytime soon… he claims it was one of his worst 5 days ever… Mr. Dramatic…  I threw in 1 of our family pictures to give you an example of what happens when you have to run back in forth in a field and try to get both children and your husband to look at the camera within 10 seconds… NOT EASY!!

Damron family {sneak peek}

I think that I may want to steal these girls and take them home with me!  They were such cuties, and each with their own personality.  Avery was quite the model, Grayson just wanted to run and play (typical 2 yr old), and Olivia gave me the cutest shy smiles.  I know that I say it all of the time, but I am truly blessed to do what I do – I absolutely love it!  These girls had me jumping all over, throwing my hands in the air, yelling, etc… and I didn’t get many of all three of them looking at me, but with a 6, 4, and 2 yr old, I’ll take what I can get! :)

Spurling family {sneak peek}

Where do I even begin with this beautiful family?!?  This was one of my first families with “older” children, and it was refreshing and a breath of fresh air to photograph them!  Is this family photogenic or what!  I feel like I didn’t really have to do much at all… the images just happened!  I’m so glad that the weather held this past weekend… it was a bit chilly, but better than the snow the weekend before when we were originally planning their session.  Again, tough to pick my faves…

And then there were four {family sneak peek}

I had the pleasure of photographing a friend’s nieces and nephews as a suprise gift for their mothers… I had so much fun!  There were 2 sets of siblings, and at times it was a little difficult getting all four to focus on the camera, not hit each other, put up bunny ears, or make silly smiles all at the same time, but that is just all part of the job!  These four kids were such a blast to play around with, and they really came into their own when we hit the trees… we had to drag them away!   As a side note, I always struggle with choosing which photos to blog, and I realized tonight that when I find myself smiling as I’m looking through pictures, that those are the ones that touch me, and I hope they bring a smile to your face too!sunoct18-213copysunoct18-043copy1sunoct18-119copysunoct18-161copysunoct18-130copysunoct18-427copysunoct18-336copysunoct18-488copy1
