I had a good friend over the other day, and she brought her camera and asked if I could help her learn a little more about how to use it. While I certainly don’t consider myself an expert, I have learned SO. MUCH. the past year about cameras and equipment, and how to get the best image with what you have. Most of the time she was shooting on auto, and I too was using this even as I started as a “professional” photographer. It’s a little intimidating to switch that button over to manual and learn what your camera is really capable of! After a little lesson, we went over to the studio and did a little practicing on her daughter. It was so much fun to see the lights come on as she understood the exposure triangle of ISO, aperture and shutter speed!
I have since had a couple of inquiries about doing a little teaching, so I thought it would be fun to gather everyone at the studio for an evening and have a lesson on camera basics, to enjoy some yummy snacks, and to have a little fellowship with others in our area that are interested in photography! I am planning an evening on Monday, June 21 at 7pm at my studio! The cost is $25 and will cover the informational session, snacks, and a Q&A time. If you are interested, please contact me and RSVP by June 17. Can’t wait to see the lights come on for you too!
